Famous quotes containing the words power of, power and/or dollar:
“Let us rise in the moral power of womanhood; and give utterance to the voice of outraged mercy, and insulted justice, and eternal truth, and mighty love and holy freedom.”
—Maria Weston Chapman (1806–1885)
“They [women] can use their abilities to support each other, even as they develop more effective and appropriate ways of dealing with power.... Women do not need to diminish other women ... [they] need the power to advance their own development, but they do not “need” the power to limit the development of others.”
—Jean Baker Miller (20th century)
“Your Dollar is your only Word,
The wrath of it your only fear.
“You build it altars tall enough
To make you see, but your are blind;
You cannot leave it long enough
To look before you or behind.”
—Edwin Arlington Robinson (1869–1935)
