- Car and Driver (March 1965) tested a Catalina 2+2 and recorded a top speed of over 130 mph (210 km/h) and a 0-60 time of just 3.9 seconds. The 3.9 time may not be typical of commercially available 2+2s, as it has been suggested that the actual car used was a ringer.
