Poko (TV Series) - Play Sequence

Play Sequence

These are thirty-second shorts where Poko and Minus (and sometimes Mr.Murphy) play against a monocolour background. They may be swimming, surfing, riding an imaginary Roller coaster, or doing other activities.

Famous quotes containing the words play and/or sequence:

To save the theatre, the theatre must be destroyed, the actors and actresses must all die of the plague. They poison the air, they make art impossible. It is not drama that they play, but pieces for the theatre. We should return to the Greeks, play in the open air: the drama dies of stalls and boxes and evening dress, and people who come to digest their dinner.
    Eleonora Duse (1858–1924)

We have defined a story as a narrative of events arranged in their time-sequence. A plot is also a narrative of events, the emphasis falling on causality. “The king died and then the queen died” is a story. “The king died, and then the queen died of grief” is a plot. The time sequence is preserved, but the sense of causality overshadows it.
