Playboy TV

Playboy TV (formerly known as The Playboy Channel) is a premium monthly subscription television channel. Since its launch in 1982 in partnership with Cablevision which eventually sold their share back to Playboy in 1986. The original programming and style of the Playboy Channel was developed by Hugh Hefner and Michael Trikilis. Playboy hired its own sales and marketing staff and launched the channel on the major MSO's. At the time, the programming was only R rated. The staff, lead by Que Spaulding and Michael Fleming, included Michael Finnert; Dan McKenzie; Theda Giles and Vanita Cillo. Cillo launched Playboy in the Hotel Markets as a Pay Per View channel. Playboy TV has become a leading entertainment channel for adult entertainment. It is available in the United States, Sweden, Brazil, Canada, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Portugal, Greece, Spain, Norway, and more. The channel is owned by Manwin, who took over the channel from Playboy Enterprises in 2011.
