Plant-based diet is a general term that refers to an eating pattern dominated by fresh or minimally processed plant foods and decreased consumption of meat, eggs and dairy products. There is no formal definition for the term.

- Nutritarian: a person who eats a diet with as many micronutrients per calorie as possible - primarily from green vegetables, colorful vegetables, and fresh fruits and avoiding processed foods like oils, salt, sugar, and flours.
Famous quotes containing the word diet:
“Newsmen believe that news is a tacitly acknowledged fourth branch of the federal system. This is why most news about government sounds as if it were federally mandatedserious, bulky and blandly worthwhile, like a high-fiber diet set in type.”
