The second magnet will focus on Health science, and will be housed at Williams High School for grades 9-10, and Plano East Senior High School for grades 11-12. Additionally, the district is modifying its existing International Baccalaureate program so that all four grades will be housed at Plano East Senior High as a "school within a school".

Famous quotes containing the words academics and/or honors:

Our first line of defense in raising children with values is modeling good behavior ourselves. This is critical. How will our kids learn tolerance for others if our hearts are filled with hate? Learn compassion if we are indifferent? Perceive academics as important if soccer practice is a higher priority than homework?
    Fred G. Gosman (20th century)

He most honors my style who learns under it to destroy the teacher.
    Walt Whitman (1819–1892)
