Phu Phan Mountains

The Phu Phan mountains (Thai: ทิวเขาภูพาน, Thio Khao Phu Phan, ) are a range of hills dividing the Khorat Plateau of the Isan region of Thailand into two basins: the northern Sakhon Nakhon Basin, and the southern Khorat Basin.

The silhouette of the Phu Phan Mountains appears in the provincial seal of Kalasin for they form the northern boundary of the province.

Famous quotes containing the word mountains:

These have been wonderful years. How many happy, happy times we have traveled about together! Day and night, in stage coaches, on freight trains, over the mountains and across the prairies, hungry and tired, we have wandered. The work was sometimes hard and discouraging but those were happy and useful years.
    Susan B. Anthony (1820–1906)
