Phosphoprotein Phosphatase

Phosphoprotein phosphatase is an enzyme that dephosphorylates certain phosphorylated proteins.

In some contexts, "Phosphoprotein phosphatase" is equated with serine/threonine specific protein phosphatase, and classified under EC 3.1.3.16.

In other contexts, the term also includes protein tyrosine phosphatase (EC 3.1.3.48) and dual-specificity phosphatase. This latter convention is used in this article.
