The establishment of the campus was initiated in Congress by Congressman Salacnib Baterina in 1999. His law is known as Republic Act 9036.

The school opened with its first batch of 33 students from parts of Region 1, and six teachers on July 14, 2003.
As of March 31, 2011, 201 students graduated from the school. (Batch 2007: 33 graduates, Batch 2008: 31 graduates, Batch 2009: 35, Batch 2010: 44, Batch 2011: 48)

Famous quotes containing the word history:
“Free from public debt, at peace with all the world, and with no complicated interests to consult in our intercourse with foreign powers, the present may be hailed as the epoch in our history the most favorable for the settlement of those principles in our domestic policy which shall be best calculated to give stability to our Republic and secure the blessings of freedom to our citizens.”
—Andrew Jackson (17671845)
“In the history of the human mind, these glowing and ruddy fables precede the noonday thoughts of men, as Aurora the suns rays. The matutine intellect of the poet, keeping in advance of the glare of philosophy, always dwells in this auroral atmosphere.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“The history of every country begins in the heart of a man or a woman.”
—Willa Cather (18761947)
