Philippine Basketball Association Draft - Order

Order

The natural drafting order is determined by the teams' winning percentages from the previous season, with records from the PBA Philippine Cup having heavier weight; the team with the two worst percentages participate in the draft lottery, while the team with third worst winning percentage picking third, and the team with best winning percentage picking last in the first round. In the second round, the natural drafting order is followed, the team with the worst winning percentage will pick first then the second worst will pick second. The worst and second worst team will change places in the following rounds.

The drafting order is also subject to change if a team deals their draft picks in trades.

Famous quotes containing the word order:

Franz now peddles racist newspapers. He is not against the Jews, but he is for law and order. For law and order must reign in Paradise; which everyone should recognize.
    Alfred Döblin (1878–1957)

Until the end of the Middle Ages, and in many cases afterwards too, in order to obtain initiation in a trade of any sort whatever—whether that of courtier, soldier, administrator, merchant or workman—a boy did not amass the knowledge necessary to ply that trade before entering it, but threw himself into it; he then acquired the necessary knowledge.
    Philippe Ariés (20th century)

The mastery of one’s phonemes may be compared to the violinist’s mastery of fingering. The violin string lends itself to a continuous gradation of tones, but the musician learns the discrete intervals at which to stop the string in order to play the conventional notes. We sound our phonemes like poor violinists, approximating each time to a fancied norm, and we receive our neighbor’s renderings indulgently, mentally rectifying the more glaring inaccuracies.
    W.V. Quine (b. 1908)
