Early Life

Philip Aaberg was born in Havre, Montana in 1949 and raised in Chester, Montana. By the age of 14, he was performing with local bands at dances in Chester. Aaberg studied music. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in music, he moved to Oakland, California and played in blues clubs for several years. He also toured and recorded as a member of Elvin Bishop's Group at the time of its greatest popularity, and co-wrote the title song of the band's 1976 Struttin' My Stuff release, an album which also included Bishop's biggest hit, "Fooled Around and Fell in Love," featuring Aaberg on piano.

Famous quotes containing the words early and/or life:

“next to of course god america i
love you land of the pilgrims” and so forth oh
say can you see by the dawn’s early my
country ‘tis of centuries come and go
and are no more what of it we should worry
    in every language even deafanddumb
thy sons acclaim your glorious name by gorry
by jing by gee by gosh by gum
    —E.E. (Edward Estlin)

Just as we need to encourage women to test life’s many options, we need to acknowledge real limits of energy and resources. It would be pointless and cruel to prescribe role combination for every woman at each moment of her life. Life has its seasons. There are moments when a woman ought to invest emotionally in many different roles, and other moments when she may need to conserve her psychological energies.
    Faye J. Crosby (20th century)
