Phenyl Salicylate - Salol Reaction

In the salol reaction, phenyl salicylate reacts with o-toluidine in 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene at elevated temperatures to the corresponding amide o-Salicylotoluide. Salicylamides are one type of drug.
