Pharma Nord's selenium dietary supplement SelenoPrecise is currently used in the Prevention of Cancer by Intervention with Selenium (PRECISE) study, a population study involving 40,000 test participants from Denmark, Sweden and England.
Pharma Nord's coenzyme Q10 preparation is a reference product for the International Coenzyme Q10 Association. Pharma Nord also actively supports scientific research into the health benefits of coenzyme Q10, and has launched Q-symbio, a large multinational study, investigating coenzyme Q10's potential as an adjuvant for treating chronic heart failure. The remarkable, preliminary results are, that Coenzyme Q10 decreased all cause mortality by half. This was presented by lead author Professor Svend Aage Mortensen at the congress Heart Failure 2013 held from 25-28 May in Lisbon, Portugal. The Q-symbio study randomised 420 patients with severe heart failure (New York Heart Association (NYHA) Class III or IV) to CoQ10 or placebo and followed them for 2 years. The product used in the Q-symbio study was Pharma Nord's 100 mg Q10 in soft-gel capsules (Myoqinon).

Famous quotes containing the words research and and/or research:
“I did my research and decided I just had to live it.”
—Karina OMalley, U.S. sociologist and educator. As quoted in the Chronicle of Higher Education, p. A5 (September 16, 1992)
“The research on gender and morality shows that women and men looked at the world through very different moral frameworks. Men tend to think in terms of justice or absolute right and wrong, while women define morality through the filter of how relationships will be affected. Given these basic differences, why would men and women suddenly agree about disciplining children?”
—Ron Taffel (20th century)
