Peter Frederick Carter-Ruck (born 26 February 1914 in Steyning, West Sussex; died 19 December 2003 in Uttlesford, Essex) was an English lawyer, specialising in libel cases. The firm he founded, Carter-Ruck, is still practising.
Famous quotes containing the word peter:
“Travel is like adultery: one is always tempted to be unfaithful to ones own country. To have imagination is inevitably to be dissatisfied with where you live. There is in men, as Peter Quennell said, a centrifugal tendency. In our wanderlust, we are lovers looking for consummation.”
—Anatole Broyard (19101990)
