Conflict Within The Green Party
In the run-up to the June 6, 2006, primary elections in his home state, Camejo helped create Green IDEA (later known as IDEA PAC), a California political action committee espousing "Independence, Democracy, Empowerment, and Accountability," to support candidates for county councils, the locally elected leadership bodies of the Green Party of California. The IDEA PAC was not raising or spending money as of 2010.
Arguing that outside intervention in local elections might be construed a contravention of the Green Ten Key Values of Decentralization and Grassroots Democracy, Peter Daniels criticized Camejo for "lend his support to the right-wing effort to depose Davis" by recall in 2004. However, the Green Party state convention easily voted to endorse Camejo as a recall replacement candidate.

Famous quotes containing the words conflict, green and/or party:
“There is no prescribed method for resolving every specific conflict a mother has with her child, and there is certainly no method that will enable her to have exactly what she wants....There is, however, a larger goal, which is to establish and over-all climate of reasonableness, one in which she and her child can hear each other.”
—Elaine Heffner (20th century)
“As the shade went up
And the ambulance came crashing through the dust
Of the new day, the moon and the sun and the stars,
And the iceberg slowly sank
In the volcano and the sea ran far away
Yellow over the hot sand, green as the green trees.”
—John Ashbery (b. 1927)
“No political party can ever make prohibition effective. A political party implies an adverse, an opposing, political party. To enforce criminal statutes implies substantial unanimity in the community. This is the result of the jury system. Hence the futility of party prohibition.”
—Rutherford Birchard Hayes (18221893)
