Pet Sitters International (PSI) is the world's largest educational association for professional pet sitters. PSI represents more than 7,100 independent professional pet-sitting businesses in the United States, Canada and abroad.
PSI's focus is promoting, supporting and recognizing quality in pet sitting. The Association helps bring success to its members by providing products and services. PSI provides members with access to affordable bonding and liability insurance and educational resources such as PSI's Certification Program, The Pet Sitter's World magazine, and PSI's annual Quest convention.
In addition, PSI operates the Pet Sitter Locator, which is one of the most heavily used pet-sitter search tools in the industry and averages more than 30,000 searches per month.
PSI created Take Your Dog to Work Day in 1999. It is celebrated the Friday following Father’s Day.
PSI was established in 1994 by Patti Moran.
