Methods of Construction

Several methods of constructing perspectives exist, including:

  • Freehand sketching (common in art)
  • Graphically constructing (once common in architecture)
  • Using a perspective grid
  • Computing a perspective transform (common in 3D computer applications)
  • Mimicry using tools such as a proportional divider (sometimes called a variscaler)

Famous quotes containing the words methods of, methods and/or construction:

If men got pregnant, there would be safe, reliable methods of birth control. They’d be inexpensive, too.
    Anna Quindlen (b. 1952)

There are souls that are incurable and lost to the rest of society. Deprive them of one means of folly, they will invent ten thousand others. They will create subtler, wilder methods, methods that are absolutely DESPERATE. Nature herself is fundamentally antisocial, it is only by a usurpation of powers that the organized body of society opposes the natural inclination of humanity.
    Antonin Artaud (1896–1948)

No construction stiff working overtime takes more stress and straining than we did just to stay high.
Gus Van Sant, U.S. screenwriter and director, and Dan Yost. Bob Hughes (Matt Dillon)
