The People's Revolutionary Youth Union of Kampuchea was the youth organization of the Khmer People's Revolutionary Party (which governed Kampuchea/Cambodia during the 1980s). The organization was internationally known by its French name, Union de la Jeunesse Populaire Révolutionnaire du Kampuchéa, abbreviated UJPRK. UJPRK was member of World Federation of Democratic Youth.
UJPRK was a member of the Kampuchean United Front for National Construction and Defense, the front of Kampuchean mass organizations. The role of KUFNCD and UJPRK was established in the Constitution.
UJPRK organized youth between the ages of 15 and 26. UJPRK functioned as a school for future members of the KPRP. At the time of the second congress of UJPRK in 1987, the organization had more than 50,000 members. A significant portion of the members were within the armed forces.

Famous quotes containing the words people, youth and/or union:
“Mr. Wiggam, I want you to change the policy of The Clarion. I want you to write a story I should have written myself long ago. I want you to tell the people of San Francisco that no city can exist without law and order. Write a story about that flag, write about what verifies and brings a promise of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. There are some people in this town who dont seem to know that. Let The Clarion tell them.”
—Ben Hecht (18931964)
“In my youth I never did apply
Hot and rebellious liquors in my blood.”
—William Shakespeare (15641616)
“So we grew together
Like to a double cherry, seeming parted,
But yet an union in partition,
Two lovely berries moulded on one stem.”
—William Shakespeare (15641616)
