Libertarian Skepticism
In addition to paranormal and pseudo-scientific claims, Penn & Teller take a skeptical view of government authority. In various episodes of their show they have heavily criticized both the Internal Revenue Service and the Environmental Protection Agency, as well as taken stances against prohibitions on guns, drugs, tobacco, prostitution, nuclear energy, nudity, and profanity. Penn & Teller are both H.L. Mencken research fellows with the Cato Institute, a libertarian think tank.
