Penguin Chat

Penguin Chat was a flash-based role-playing video game, created by RocketSnail Games, until it closed down in April–May 2012. It was superseded by Penguin Chat 3 and Club Penguin, released by the same company. Game-play is very simple; you give your penguin a name, and the game selects an avatar from a list of six different penguins.

There were no user accounts required for Penguin Chat, and no settings are saved between visits. The name you give your penguin during each session is not reserved for you or anyone else.

Contactmusic.com, a large UK based entertainment web site, licensed and made a new version of Penguin Chat. However, the copyright is still owned by RocketSnail Games.

Famous quotes containing the words penguin and/or chat:

Rearing three children is like growing a cactus, a gardenia, and a tubful of impatiens. Each needs varying amounts of water, sunlight and pruning. Were I to be absolutely fair, I would have to treat each child as if he or she were absolutely identical to the other siblings, and there would be no profit for anyone in that.
Phyllis Theroux, U.S. journalist. “On Being Fair,” Night Lights: Bedtime Stories for Parents in the Dark, Penguin (1987)

The young women [in England] are so mortally silly and insipid, that I cannot bear them. Upon my word ... I have scarce met with one worthy being spoke to. Their chat is all on caps—balls—cards—dress—nonsense.
    Frances Burney (1752–1840)
