Peace Theological Seminary & College of Philosophy - Headquarters

Headquarters

Built from 1911 to 1913, the Guasti Villa is the current home for Peace Theological Seminary and College of Philosophy. Named after the builders and first inhabitants the Guasti family, the building is a Beaux Arts/Italian Villa style.

In 1974 the Guasti Villa, at 3500 West Adams Blvd in Los Angeles, California was purchased by the Church of the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness (MSIA) for use by both MSIA and PTS. Since 1974 until the present, students of MSIA have lived at "Prana" as part of the seminary program offered by Peace Theological Seminary and College of Philosophy with the prime purpose of the seminary to study MSIA’s teachings and “to serve more than at other places”.

Today the building is known as "Prana" or "Peace Awareness Labyrinth & Gardens".

Famous quotes containing the word headquarters:

What does headquarters think these guys came over here for, a sewing circle? They go up playing for keeps. Cops and robbers with rocks in the snowballs. Brass knuckles and lead pipes and a roughneck conviction they can lick any man in the world.
    Dalton Trumbo (1905–1976)

If the national security is involved, anything goes. There are no rules. There are people so lacking in roots about what is proper and what is improper that they don’t know there’s anything wrong in breaking into the headquarters of the opposition party.
    Helen Gahagan Douglas (1900–1980)

Anything goes in Wichita. Leave your revolvers at police headquarters and get a check.
—For the State of Kansas, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)
