PBS Home Video Idents (1989-present)

At first, PBS distributed copies of its programs on its own, under the "PBS Video" label. There was no special ident for PBS Video. The tapes were simply copies of PBS' master tapes. Then PBS introduced its "PBS Home Video" label, going through commercial distributors: Pacific Arts (1989–1994), Turner Home Entertainment (1994–1997), Warner Home Video (1997–2004), and currently Paramount Home Video (2004-). PBS Home Video idents are usually modeled after past TV idents.

Famous quotes containing the words home and/or video:

I knew a pure heart who refused tot be mistrustful.... He had written at his doorstep: “From wherever you are, enter and be welcome”. Who do you think responded to this lovely invitation? The militia, who made themselves at home and gutted him.
    Albert Camus (1913–1960)

We attempt to remember our collective American childhood, the way it was, but what we often remember is a combination of real past, pieces reshaped by bitterness and love, and, of course, the video past—the portrayals of family life on such television programs as “Leave it to Beaver” and “Father Knows Best” and all the rest.
    Richard Louv (20th century)
