Paul M. Fleiss - Medical Views and Opinions

Medical Views and Opinions

Fleiss is known for his unconventional medical views. He is a proponent of the "family bed". While he recommends that his patients receive vaccines, he does not insist upon it. He is quoted by the Los Angeles Times as stating that he 'could be "convinced either way" on whether HIV causes AIDS'. Fleiss is a breastfeeding advocate and anti-circumcision activist. He is the author or co-author of three books: Sweet Dreams (2001), Your Premature Baby Comes Home with Juliette M. Alsobrooks (2006), and What Your Doctor May Not Tell You about Circumcision with Frederick M. Hodges (2003).

Famous quotes containing the words medical, views and/or opinions:

Unusual precocity in children, is usually the result of an unhealthy state of the brain; and, in such cases, medical men would now direct, that the wonderful child should be deprived of all books and study, and turned to play or work in the fresh air.
    Catherine E. Beecher (1800–1878)

I shall do less whenever I shall believe what I am doing hurts the cause, and I shall do more whenever I shall believe doing more will help the cause. I shall try to correct errors when shown to be errors; and I shall adopt new views so fast as they shall appear to be true views.
    Abraham Lincoln (1809–1865)

There is much to be said in favour of modern journalism. By giving us the opinions of the uneducated, it keeps us in touch with the ignorance of the community. By carefully chronicling the current events of contemporary life, it shows us of what very little importance such events really are. By invariably discussing the unnecessary, it makes us understand what things are requisite for culture, and what are not.
    Oscar Wilde (1854–1900)
