Commemoration
Pearse Street was renamed in honour of the Pearses. Westland Row Station in Dublin was renamed as Pearse Station in 1966 after Pearse and his brother Willie. The Ten shilling coin minted in 1966 featured the bust of Patrick Pearse. The coin is unique among Irish coinage in that it is the sole coin to feature the bust of anyone associated with Irish history or politics. A number of Gaelic Athletic Association clubs and playing fields are named after Pádraic or both Pearses, in Annaghmore and Armagh (County Armagh), Ballymacward and Gurteen (County Galway), Chicago, Detroit, Dregish (County Tyrone), Dromid (County Kerry), Dunloy (County Antrim), Fintona and Galbally County Tyrone), Glasgow, Huddersfield, Kilrea (County Derry), London, Longford, rural Roscommon, Salthill (County Galway) and [[Victoria (Australia). A Pearse Museum has been established, and thoroughfares and public places named after one brother or both include Pearse Square and Pearse Street, Dublin.
