Patrice Lumumba Ford - Trial

Trial

Ford's brother Sekou Ford wrote a letter to the editor on behalf of his brother. Sekou Ford claimed that his brother Patrice, and his associates, were merely scapegoats for an "overfunded, undereffective Joint Terrorism Task Force".

The Justice Department tried to bar Stanley Cohen from representing Ford. The Justice Department alleged that they had evidence that Cohen had provided financial support to jihadists. They claimed they could not release this evidence without compromising the United States national security.

Famous quotes containing the word trial:

Looks like we got a trial ahead of us. But it’s not the first time. We’ve had to go it alone before, and we’ll have to go it alone again. We’re tough. We’ve had to be tough ever since Brother Brigham led our people across the plain. Well, they survived and I dang it, we’ll, well, we’ll survive too. Now put out your fires and get to your wagons.
    Frank S. Nugent (1908–1965)

The trial by market everything must come to.
    Robert Frost (1874–1963)

A trial cannot be conducted by announcing the general culpability of a civilization. Only the actual deeds which, at least, stank in the nostrils of the entire world were brought to judgment.
    Albert Camus (1913–1960)
