Confirmation of The Second and Third Books
According to Card at his Hatrack River website:
I have several projects under contract that will be written, as I find time—my sci-fi time-travel treatments of Noah's flood and the Garden of Eden, for instance.He went on to say in a 1999 interview with CNN that those stories would be part of a "Pastwatch series".
In 2010 Card stated in an interview that he had bought back the contract on the sequels, and does not know if he will ever finish the series, stating difficulties in writing, due to the timeline, as his reason.

Famous quotes containing the words confirmation of, confirmation and/or books:
“The confirmation of Clarence Thomas, one of the most conservative voices to be added to the [Supreme] Court in recent memory, carries a sobering message for the African- American community.... As he begins to make his mark upon the lives of African Americans, we must acknowledge that his successful nomination is due in no small measure to the support he received from black Americans.”
—Kimberly Crenshaw (b. 1959)
“Trifles light as air
Are to the jealous confirmation strong
As proofs of holy writ.”
—William Shakespeare (1564–1616)
“The books we think we ought to read are poky, dull, and dry;
The books that we would like to read we are ashamed to buy;
The books that people talk about we never can recall;
And the books that people give us, oh, they’re the worst of all.”
—Carolyn Wells (1870–1942)
