Career
After debuting as a commercial model at the age of 13, she released her first album in 1997, titled Haneulsaek Ggoom (하늘색 꿈, "Sky Blue Dream"). Her hit singles "Haneulsaek Ggoom" from her debut album, "Seonginshik" from her fourth, and "Nam Namjaya" from Man, receiving a lot of love from fans.
However, due to creative differences, Park left JYP Entertainment after her sixth album; she felt that instead of showing her true self as an artist, she was being controlled by producer Park Jin-young. Park then took an extended break from singing and entered the film and musical fields.
After 6 years, Park returned with her seventh album, Ggot, Dashi Cheotbunjjae (꽃, 다시 첫번째, "Flower, Again for the First Time"). Leaving behind her sexy image from "Seonginshik", Park attempted to put her experiences of being in her 20s into this album, writing three of the songs on it and having creative input in producing the album and designing its cover. She made her comeback with the song "Baraejin Kieukae" ("바래진 기억에", "In My Fading Memory") on MBC's Show! Eumak Jungshim on May 2, 2009 and on SBS's Inkigayo on May 3. The song was written and produced by Dear Cloud.

Famous quotes containing the word career:
“Whether lawyer, politician or executive, the American who knows whats good for his career seeks an institutional rather than an individual identity. He becomes the man from NBC or IBM. The institutional imprint furnishes him with pension, meaning, proofs of existence. A man without a company name is a man without a country.”
—Lewis H. Lapham (b. 1935)
“In time your relatives will come to accept the idea that a career is as important to you as your family. Of course, in time the polar ice cap will melt.”
—Barbara Dale (b. 1940)
“I began my editorial career with the presidency of Mr. Adams, and my principal object was to render his administration all the assistance in my power. I flattered myself with the hope of accompanying him through [his] voyage, and of partaking in a trifling degree, of the glory of the enterprise; but he suddenly tacked about, and I could follow him no longer. I therefore waited for the first opportunity to haul down my sails.”
—William Cobbett (17621835)
