Palm Treo

The Palm Treo /ˈtriːoʊ/ was a line of smartphones originally developed by Handspring, which was bought by Palm, Inc. They were then manufactured and maintained by Palm, Inc. Treos had a number of integrated features such as the ability to check the calendar while talking on the phone, dial directly from a list of contacts, and send email messages. The most recent models include a built-in camera. Traditionally, Treos run Palm OS which allows synchronization with both Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows, but newer models also have editions that run Windows Mobile.

Famous quotes containing the word palm:

How did you get in the Navy? How did you get on our side? Ah, you ignorant, arrogant, ambitious—keeping sixty two men in prison cause you got a palm tree for the work they did. I don’t know which I hate worse, you or that malignant growth that stands outside your door. How did you ever get command of a ship? I realize in wartime they have to scrape the bottom of the barrel. But where’d they ever scrape you up?
    Frank S. Nugent (1908–1965)
