Isolation
This dual culture has also been the reason why some Pakistani Canadians sometimes find it difficult to integrate into the mainstream Canadian Environment. It is also evident from the recent honour killings perpretated by some Pakistanis on their Canadian born children, such as the Aqsa Pervez honor killing or the Mohammad Shafia case where the children were murdered due to their open adaption of Canadian culture in form of Canadian dressing sense and lifestyle.

Famous quotes containing the word isolation:
“But, my dear, you cannot live in isolation from the human race, you know.”
—John Clifford, U.S. screenwriter, and Herk Harvey. Minister (Stan Levitt)
“One who shows signs of mental aberration is, inevitably, perhaps, but cruelly, shut off from familiar, thoughtless intercourse, partly excommunicated; his isolation is unwittingly proclaimed to him on every countenance by curiosity, indifference, aversion, or pity, and in so far as he is human enough to need free and equal communication and feel the lack of it, he suffers pain and loss of a kind and degree which others can only faintly imagine, and for the most part ignore.”
—Charles Horton Cooley (18641929)
