Since 1995 (under the new electoral law, 1993) the mayor of Padenghe is directly elected by the population and the election occurs without ballot because the commune hasn't a population higher than 15.000 inhabitants.
The mayor of Padenghe is Patrizia Avanzini (Democratic Party) elected on 8 June 2009. The City Council has 12 members.
