Pacific Northwest Wrestling - Portland Wrestling Uncut

On October 22, 2012, after a 21-year absence, it was announced that KPTV and KPDX would be reviving Portland Wrestling (under the name Portland Wrestling Uncut) under the direction of WWE Hall of Famer and PNW legend Rowdy Roddy Piper. The new series debuted on October 27 on KPTV following Game Three of the 2012 World Series. Portland Wrestling rights owner Don Coss has also returned to announce the matches along with special guests. The wrestling matches are taped at the KPTV's Beaverton studios. Two months later on December 29, Portland Wrestling Uncut moved to KPTV's sister station KPDX, retaining the Saturday night timeslot that the program held when it was revived on KPTV.

Famous quotes containing the word wrestling:

There are people who think that wrestling is an ignoble sport. Wrestling is not sport, it is a spectacle, and it is no more ignoble to attend a wrestled performance of suffering than a performance of the sorrows of Arnolphe or Andromaque.
    Roland Barthes (1915–1980)
