Oxford University Labour Club - Constitution and Organisation

Constitution and Organisation

OULC is run by an elected executive committee. The current Co-Chairs are Joe Collin and Adam Whiley.

OULC also holds General Meetings and Termly General Meetings at which its members can pass policy in the form of motions (such as submissions to the Labour Party's Policy Review), hear reports from the executive and elect (at the Termly General Meeting) the new executive.

Famous quotes containing the words constitution and, constitution and/or organisation:

One of the things I considered a delightful experience in school was the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. I didn’t realize the gap was so big from the Founding Fathers until now. And I didn’t realize they weren’t talking about me.
    Maxine Waters (b. 1938)

The Federal Constitution has stood the test of more than a hundred years in supplying the powers that have been needed to make the Central Government as strong as it ought to be, and with this movement toward uniform legislation and agreements between the States I do not see why the Constitution may not serve our people always.
    William Howard Taft (1857–1930)

It is because the body is a machine that education is possible. Education is the formation of habits, a superinducing of an artificial organisation upon the natural organisation of the body.
    Thomas Henry Huxley (1825–1895)
