Nature of Sikhism
The khanda is the symbol of Sikhism. Sikhs have 5 different beliefs known as the Five Ks which they should practice:
- Kesh (hair, God has given it to you to keep so why shave it)
- Kanga (a comb to keep all of your long hair clean and hygienic)
- Kirpan (a sword to defend yourself; some people wear a necklace which has a miniature kirpan on it)
- Kachera (plain white cotton undergarment - reminds the wearer of high character and modesty)
- Kara (a metal bracelet which reminds a Sikh of honest living )

Famous quotes containing the words nature of and/or nature:
“We know then the existence and nature of the finite, because we also are finite and have extension. We know the existence of the infinite and are ignorant of its nature, because it has extension like us, but not limits like us. But we know neither the existence nor the nature of God, because he has neither extension nor limits.”
—Blaise Pascal (16231662)
“Perestroika basically is creating material incentives for the individual. Some of the comrades deny that, but I cant see it any other way. In that sense human nature kinda goes backwards. Its a step backwards. You have to realize the people werent quite ready for a socialist production system.”
—Gus Hall (b. 1910)
