Music Video
The music video was released Tuesday June 17, 2008. It was filmed by Martyn Atkins. The video is shot mostly with slideshows of hippies rebelling in streets and sometimes with violence involved. It shows well-known figures signaling the peace sign with two fingers made famous by 37th President of the United States Richard Nixon. Some of the many include: George W. Bush, Jimmy Carter, John Lennon, Yoko Ono, and Keith Urban. The other side shows Sheryl presumably performing a concert with her band, shot in black and white.
In some context, the two-finger sign that is actually being used is the V for Victory sign used by Winston Churchill during World War II .

Famous quotes containing the words music and/or video:
“If music in general is an imitation of history, opera in particular is an imitation of human willfulness; it is rooted in the fact that we not only have feelings but insist upon having them at whatever cost to ourselves.... The quality common to all the great operatic roles, e.g., Don Giovanni, Norma, Lucia, Tristan, Isolde, Brünnhilde, is that each of them is a passionate and willful state of being. In real life they would all be bores, even Don Giovanni.”
—W.H. (Wystan Hugh)
“We attempt to remember our collective American childhood, the way it was, but what we often remember is a combination of real past, pieces reshaped by bitterness and love, and, of course, the video pastthe portrayals of family life on such television programs as Leave it to Beaver and Father Knows Best and all the rest.”
—Richard Louv (20th century)
