Out of Exile (song) - Guitar & Bass

Guitar & Bass

Out of Exile is played in Drop D tuning, (D-A-D-G-B-e and D-A-D-G) and was most likely to be recorded with Tom using his signature Fender Telecaster, "Sendero Luminoso". The verse of the song is a melodic riff that is played by Tom using a plucking technique with the employment of a delay pedal. The opening riff on the bass is played by simply muting the strings and striking them while moving slowly up the neck of the bass to the body

Famous quotes containing the words guitar and/or bass:

    Swiftly in the nights,
In the porches of Key West,
    Behind the bougainvilleas
    After the guitar is asleep,
    Lasciviously as the wind,
    You come tormenting.
    Wallace Stevens (1879–1955)

How are we to know that a Dracula is a key-pounding pianist who lifts his hands up to his face, or that a bass fiddle is the doghouse, or that shmaltz musicians are four-button suit guys and long underwear boys?
In New York City, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)
