Out Of Control (Girls Aloud Album)

Out of Control is the fifth and final studio album by British all-female pop group Girls Aloud, released in the UK on 3 November 2008 by Fascination Records. Like their previous albums, it was crafted by the production team of Brian Higgins and Xenomania. Out of Control builds on the sound of Girls Aloud's previous albums and represents a move into the mainstream for the group.

Out of Control debuted to positive reviews from contemporary music critics. The album debuted at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart, Girls Aloud's first studio album to do so, and quickly became Girls Aloud's best-selling studio album. It was certified 2x platinum in the UK and Ireland. It yielded three singles, including chart-topping "The Promise", which was awarded Best British Single at the 2009 BRIT Awards.

Famous quotes containing the words control and/or aloud:

“Have we any control over being born?,” my friend asked in despair. “No, the job is done for us while we’re sleeping, so to speak, and when we wake up everything is all set. We merely appear, like an ornate celebrity wheeled out in a wheelchair.” “I don’t remember,” my friend claimed. “No need to,” I said: “what need have us free-loaders for any special alertness? We’re done for.”
Marvin Cohen, U.S. author and humorist. The Self-Devoted Friend, New Directions (1967)

The little Strangs say the “good words,” as they call them, before going to bed, aloud and at their father’s knee, or rather in the pit of his stomach. One of them was lately heard to say “Forgive us our christmasses as we forgive them that christmas against us.”
    Samuel Butler (1835–1902)
