Orton Mere

Orton Mere is the name of a Mere and its surrounding area, near Orton in the city of Peterborough in eastern England. There are several moorings nearby for boats navigating the River Nene.

Orton Mere is part of a Network of citywide nature reserves operated by Nene Park Trust. The lakes are an ideal tourist attraction for those who want to stroll along by the water. They also offer good opportunities for photographing the local bird population.

The area also gives its name to the nearby Orton Mere railway station on the Nene Valley Railway.
