The Orlando Lutheran Academy was a private Lutheran school, grades 6–12, located in Orlando, Florida. The school's creed stated the school as being "dedicated to excellence, integrity, and service." Since its inception in 1975, OLA remained one of the few Lutheran schools in Florida, and won multiple awards, such as being listed in the top three private schools by Orlando magazine. However, at the end of the 2010 school year, after 35 years, Orlando Lutheran Academy closed its doors.

Famous quotes containing the word academy:
“I realized early on that the academy and the literary world alikeand I dont think there really is a distinction between the twoare always dominated by fools, knaves, charlatans and bureaucrats. And that being the case, any human being, male or female, of whatever status, who has a voice of her or his own, is not going to be liked.”
—Harold Bloom (b. 1930)
