Origin of Pallava

Origin Of Pallava

The Origin of Pallavas has not been satisfatorily settled. A number of legends are associated with their origin. Although they left praśastis (compositions of "praise") eulogising their dynasty, historians are also divided about their chronology. The Pallavas ruled in Southern Andhra Pradesh and Northern Tamil Nadu. They find mention in selected Sangam Period compositions and across several inscriptions and copper plate muniments.
