Oregon Student Association - Mount Hood Community College

Mount Hood Community College

Mount Hood Community College (ASMHCC) was also a member school, but withdrew its membership after the spring term of 2011 due to political differences. MHCC has an enrollment of approximately 33,000 students, which was a fourth of OSA's member base. Although there was a push to remain members of OSA on the MHCC campus, it was ultimately overridden and OSA was written out of the 2011-2012 budget.

Famous quotes containing the words mount, hood, community and/or college:

As every pool reflects the image of the sun, so every thought and thing restores us an image and creature of the supreme Good. The universe is perforated by a million channels for his activity. All things mount and mount.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

    One more Unfortunate,
    Weary of breath,
    Rashly importunate,
    Gone to her death!

    Take her up tenderly,
    Lift her with care;
    Fashioned so slenderly,
    Young, and so fair!
    —Thomas Hood (1799–1845)

The heroes of the world community are not those who withdraw when difficulties ensue, not those who can envision neither the prospect of success nor the consequence of failure—but those who stand the heat of battle, the fight for world peace through the United Nations.
    Hubert H. Humphrey (1911–1978)

    here
to this college on the hill above Harlem
I am the only colored student in my class.
    Langston Hughes (1902–1967)
