Oregon Route 131 - Route Description

Route Description

The western terminus of Oregon Route 131 is in the town of Oceanside, Oregon, located in between Cape Meares and Cape Lookout in Tillamook County. From there, the highway heads south through Netarts, and then heads east. The highway then turns north, finally turning east before it ends in downtown Tillamook, at an intersection with U.S. Route 101 and Oregon Route 6.

The stretch of the highway between Oceanside, and an intersection south of Netarts, is part of the Three Capes Scenic Route, as is the easternmost stretch of the highway approaching Tillamook.

Famous quotes containing the words route and/or description:

By a route obscure and lonely,
    Haunted by ill angels only,
    Where an eidolon, named Night,
On a black throne reigns upright,
I have reached these lands but newly
    From an ultimate dim Thule—
From a wild weird clime that lieth, sublime,
    Out of space—out of time.
    Edgar Allan Poe (1809–1849)

Why does philosophy use concepts and why does faith use symbols if both try to express the same ultimate? The answer, of course, is that the relation to the ultimate is not the same in each case. The philosophical relation is in principle a detached description of the basic structure in which the ultimate manifests itself. The relation of faith is in principle an involved expression of concern about the meaning of the ultimate for the faithful.
    Paul Tillich (1886–1965)
