While the majority of Christian denominations are either supportive of Freemasonry or take no stance on it, there are a several that are outwardly opposed to it, and either discourage or outright prohibit their members from joining the fraternity. The largest of these are the Roman Catholic Church and the Southern Baptist Convention.
