Southern Terminus
The southern terminus was originally Highway 11 in Smooth Rock Falls, but after the massive highway downloading that took place province-wide in 1998, the portion of the road within the town limits of Smooth Rock Falls was downloaded to the town, and is no longer provincially-maintained, making another of several "detached highways" (one that is not connected to other provincially-maintained roads in the network).

Famous quotes containing the word southern:
“I think those Southern writers [William Faulkner, Carson McCullers] have analyzed very carefully the buildup in the South of a special consciousness brought about by the self- condemnation resulting from slavery, the humiliation following the War Between the States and the hope, sometimes expressed timidly, for redemption.”
—Jimmy Carter (James Earl Carter, Jr.)
