One Chord To Another

One Chord to Another is the third album by Canadian rock band, Sloan. After rumours that they had broken up following the problems they faced with Geffen Records when Twice Removed was released, Sloan began touring and writing again in 1995 and released One Chord to Another on Murderecords in 1996. Like the previous album it was a catchy, Beatles-influenced pop record. The band also experimented with instruments they had never used before, such as trumpets and maracas.

Famous quotes containing the word chord:

    Give me the keys. I feel for the common chord again,
    Sliding by semi-tones till I sink to a minor,—yes,
    And I blunt it into a ninth, and I stand on alien ground,
    Surveying a while the heights I rolled from into the deep;
    Which, hark, I have dared and done, for my resting-place is found,
    The C Major of this life: so, now I will try to sleep.
    Robert Browning (1812–1889)
