Omni Development

The Omni Development was a proposed residential complex that was planned for construction in the Omni neighborhood of Miami, Florida. The complex was to consist of 6 residential high-rises, each rising at least 500 feet (152 meters) tall. Each building was designed by the Miami Arquitectonica architecture firm, and the complex was being developed by Kimley-Horn and Associates. The project's groundbreaking was scheduled to take place in early 2008, and it was slated to be completed by 2011, but was cancelled by the Great Recession.

Famous quotes containing the word development:

I do seriously believe that if we can measure among the States the benefits resulting from the preservation of the Union, the rebellious States have the larger share. It destroyed an institution that was their destruction. It opened the way for a commercial life that, if they will only embrace it and face the light, means to them a development that shall rival the best attainments of the greatest of our States.
    Benjamin Harrison (1833–1901)
