Olde English Bulldogge - Olde English Bulldogge Breed Registry

Olde English Bulldogge Breed Registry

There are many registries in the US and abroad that claim to register purebred Olde English bulldogges. However, if a dog's pedigree can not be traced back to the breed's original foundation stock, the dog being registered can not be ethically registered with The Olde English Bulldogge Kennel Club, The Canine Developmental Health & Performance Registry (CDHPR) or The American Rare Breed Association. The breed is not recognized by the American Kennel Club.

Famous quotes containing the words olde, english and/or breed:

Whyle I was abowte to chaunge myn olde lyff—
What sorowe I suffred, dyseese, angre and stryff,
Cracchynge myn here, my chekys all totare,
Wrythynge my fyngres for angwysshe and care,
Watrynge the erthe with my byttre salte teres
That the crye of my syghes ascended to Goddys eres,
My knees with myn handys grasped togedyre soore,
And yitt I stode the same man I was afore
Tyl a depe profounde remembraunce att the laste
Hadd all my wrecchednesse afore myn eyn caste
    Petrarch (1304–1374)

Sir Walter Raleigh might well be studied, if only for the excellence of his style, for he is remarkable in the midst of so many masters. There is a natural emphasis in his style, like a man’s tread, and a breathing space between the sentences, which the best of modern writing does not furnish. His chapters are like English parks, or say rather like a Western forest, where the larger growth keeps down the underwood, and one may ride on horseback through the openings.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

I know of no pursuit in which more real and important services can be rendered to any country than by improving its agriculture, its breed of useful animals, and other branches of a husbandman’s cares.
    George Washington (1732–1799)
