Old Time Baseball - Leagues and Teams

Leagues and Teams

Users could replay historical seasons for any league during this period from every major league in baseball history:

  • National Association
  • National League
  • American Association
  • Union Association
  • Players League
  • American League
  • Federal League

In addition to playing with historical teams, users could build their own teams player by player, and play any team (custom or historical) against any other team.

Famous quotes containing the words leagues and/or teams:

Only be admonished by what you already see, not to strike leagues of friendship with cheap persons, where no friendship can be. Our impatience betrays us into rash and foolish alliances which no God attends.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

A sturdy lad from New Hampshire or Vermont who in turn tries all the professions, who teams it, farms it, peddles, keeps a school, preaches, edits a newspaper, goes to Congress, buys a township, and so forth, in successive years, and always like a cat falls on his feet, is worth a hundred of these city dolls. He walks abreast with his days and feels no shame in not “studying a profession,” for he does not postpone his life, but lives already.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
