BASE Jump

Roger Holmes, Gus Hutchinson-Brown and Tim Emmett made the first BASE jump from the stack on 14 May 2008. Famous quotes containing the words base and/or jump:

Yet herein will I imitate the sun,
Who doth permit the base contagious clouds
To smother up his beauty from the world,
That when he please again to be himself,
Being wanted, he may be more wondered at
By breaking through the foul and ugly mists
Of vapors that did seem to strangle him
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

    Oh is that
all? I tho’t it was something else. Oh
they jump and run too. I wish you had been
there, I was so interested to hear about it.
    William Carlos Williams (1883–1963)
