Extra Curricular Activities
At the end of the summer term the timetable is suspended for a few days for activities. Pupils have the opportunity to take part in activities, some in the United Kingdom, some in Europe and many based in school and the local area.
Olchfa participates in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.

Famous quotes containing the words extra and/or activities:
“I did toy with the idea of doing a cook-book.... The recipes were to be the routine ones: how to make dry toast, instant coffee, hearts of lettuce and brownies. But as an added attraction, at no extra charge, my idea was to put a fried egg on the cover. I think a lot of people who hate literature but love fried eggs would buy it if the price was right.”
—Groucho Marx (18951977)
“Both at-home and working mothers can overmeet their mothering responsibilities. In order to justify their jobs, working mothers can overnurture, overconnect with, and overschedule their children into activities and classes. Similarly, some at-home mothers,... can make at- home mothering into a bigger deal than it is, over stimulating, overeducating, and overwhelming their children with purposeful attention.”
—Jean Marzollo (20th century)
