For the 2010 general election, the OMRLP used the description Monster Raving Loony William Hill Party, which was met with criticism by some members, with John Cartwright, Loony candidate in Croydon public stating "I am not and will not be a mercenary, or an advert, for a commercial company during the course of the election campaign"
